About mpath
mpath is a free daily math puzzle where you uncover hidden equations in a garden of numbers. Every day’s puzzle brings a new set of carefully chosen numbers that hide a select handful of equations, and your job is to connect them with +, −, x, and ÷ and discover them all!
Playing mpath
Playing mpath is easy: just drag operator tiles +, −, x, ÷, and = onto the paths connecting the numbers until you form an equation. Paths aren’t just straight lines: they can twist and turn through the garden, but you can’t reuse the same number tile twice in the same path.
You may also notice that each puzzle has a different set of operator tiles like +, −, x, ÷ available. That’s part of the challenge!
What’s a “panrithm”?
Every mpath puzzle is built so that at least one path uses every single number on the board in one continuous equation — we call that special path a panrithm. Finding the panrithm is the heart of each day’s puzzle — although every valid equation you discover along the way scores points too.
A note on order of operations
Equations in mpath follow the standard order of operations — multiplication and division always happen before addition and subtraction, even if you placed the operator tiles in a different order. We’re not trying to be sneaky, we’re just doing what our 7th grade math teacher told us to do. For example:
8 − 6 ÷ 2
is treated as
8 − 3
since we compute 6 ÷ 2 first, not 8 − 6
A new puzzle every day
mpath publishes a brand-new puzzle every day, with difficulty that increases across the week — Monday’s puzzle is the easiest, Sunday’s is the hardest. An archive of past daily puzzles is available in the archive if you want to catch up or replay an earlier one.
Premium
mpath is supported by advertising. A one-time Premium purchase removes ads and unlocks additional features, but every puzzle — daily and archive — is fully playable for free.
